Papa I have so memories with you calling me your princess sitting listening to pretty woman in the car with you, sitting on your lap in the big recliner eating popcorn. Or your very unique way to order Chinese food. You always made me laugh with your silly jokes and puns and you and mama never stopped spoiling me from being my personal atm at sesame place hotel because I like the vending machine more than the park and pushing me around in my little wagon. I made you a papa and you made me a princess

My heart breaks for this family!!  
Dan was a very special and kind man.  He loved his family deeply.  I am grateful I was able to see him this past May. I will cherish that visit forever ❤️ 
When Daryl and Dieter relocated to Florida I was sad to see them go.  But when I got down to Florida to see how much they love living there I was so happy for them. Living so close to Dan and Marilyn gave me peace that this move  was for all the right reasons. 
I feel strongly that Dan knows this family will remain strong in honor of him.  
I am confident that with all their friends who love them dearly, we will help you  through this difficult time.
We love the Cameron’s❤️.  May Dan rest in peace.  He will be sincerely missed ❤️🙏❤️

Dan was truly one of a kind. Growing up, he was the witty, hilarious Dad of my friend, Darylann, he loved nothing more than making us laugh and challenging us to use the creative side of our brains. He could turn a regular evening of babysitting into a late-night opera ballet competition with cash prizes—and suddenly, we were all world-class ballerinas!
Of course, I’ll never forget the one time the smile vanished: the day Daryl and I were tasked with watching the green beans while he ran to the store. We got so caught up creating dances that the beans burnt to a crisp. Boy, were we terrified! But that was the only time I ever saw him without a smile.
From endless Sundays at the soccer club with our families, traveling together, and building friendships that have lasted a lifetime, Dan was always at the center of the joy. He loved his family, his friends, golf, treating us to Häagen-Dazs, his chair, his TV, and especially us "girls." Both Marilyn and Dan were very special to me.  They truly loved seeing us all together and hearing about our latest crazy adventures.  
Dan, we will miss your wit, your jokes, and your generous spirit.  Rest in peace. Kathleen Pettit
